About Ellen

Ellen Pulleyblank Coffey, Ph.D.  is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in family and community practice in Berkeley, California.  She specializes in working with families facing illness.  She consults for community agencies, and is a member of the Kosovar Family Professional Education Collaboration developing mental health services in Kosovo. She is known for her teaching and has given many presentations  Her publications further explain her work.    She has recently published a new book: Blowing on embers: Stories for hard times about a group of extraordinary women who have taught her and readers about resilience in the face of catastrophe.
